Halong Bay
Halong Bay needs little introduction. The limestone peaks raising from the waters and the colourful boats cruising the shimmering waters are immediately recognisable as one of the most iconic sights in Vietnam. A must-see World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994, and northern Vietnam top tourist destinations
One of our favourite things to do in Vietnam is booking an overnight cruise in Halong Bay and explore some of the 2000 islands dotting the bay. Take it all in, the dramatic landscapes, the stunning sunsets. If feeling adventurous, hire a kayak and explore the grottos and lagoons at your leisure.
For less touristy experience, many of our clients head straight for Cat Ba Island to visit Lan Ha Bay, which is basically as beautiful as Halong Bay, but less busy.
Most overnight cruises and day trips include a stop at Halong Bay’s famous floating villages. And there’s no shortage of caves to explore – Hang Dau Go among the most representative.
Even of overnight cruising Halong Bay is one of our most recommended experiences, we’d recommend you book through us to avoid shoddy operators. You might be able to find an extra cheap tour but trust me on this, it is better to spend a little bit more and enjoy a pleasurable experience with a trusted tour operator than spending less and ending up in a dodgy day trip.
