Excellent value with classic French dining, generally lower-priced than AmaWaterways / Scenic at similar quality.

Why book CroisiEurope

Why a CroisiEurope voyage?

Six reasons we recommend this line to the right kind of traveller.

Largest river-cruise fleet in Europe

CroisiEurope operates more river ships than any other European line — 50+ vessels — meaning more departure dates, more itineraries, and more access to less-cruised rivers (Loire, Garonne, Dordogne, Gironde, Volga).

Classic French dining included

French-trained chefs, regional French menus that follow the river you're sailing, drinks included with all meals. The cuisine is genuinely French — soups, terrines, regional mains, cheese course, dessert — and a defining part of the experience.

Strong value proposition

CroisiEurope is generally priced 15-25% below AmaWaterways, Avalon or Scenic for comparable river itineraries. Quality is good (not luxury); the proposition is honest value rather than premium positioning.

Loire, Garonne, Dordogne — French rivers only CroisiEurope does

The Loire (with the châteaux country), the Garonne and Dordogne (Bordeaux wine region), the Gironde estuary — these are CroisiEurope's near-exclusive territory in commercial river cruising. Unique itineraries from the home country line.

The honest version

Might not be for you if…

No cruise line is for everyone. Here's where CroisiEurope might not fit. We'll point you elsewhere if so.

You want luxury inclusions and top-tier décor

CroisiEurope is value-positioned, not luxury. Cabins are functional, ships are clean and well-kept but not designer-led. For luxury river, look at Scenic, Uniworld or Riverside.

You want a US-style experience

CroisiEurope is French through-and-through — French dining, French wine, French staff, French way of cruising. Most guests are French; English is available but is not the default. If you want US-tilted river cruising, AmaWaterways or Uniworld.

You want included drinks all day

Drinks with meals are included; outside-meal bar drinks are paid extras (or available via package). For full all-day all-inclusive, Scenic.

FAQ

Quick answers about CroisiEurope

Is CroisiEurope English-language?
On international sailings, yes — English and French announcements, English-speaking guides, English menus. On some primarily-French departures the default is French. We confirm the language profile at booking and recommend international sailings for English-language travellers.
How does the value compare?
CroisiEurope is typically 15-25% cheaper than the US-market premium river lines (AmaWaterways, Avalon, Scenic) for similar itineraries. The trade-off is more functional cabins and a less elaborate onboard programme. For travellers prioritising destinations over onboard glitz, the value is excellent.
Loire and Bordeaux river cruises — exclusive to CroisiEurope?
The Loire (with the châteaux country), the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers around Bordeaux are near-exclusive CroisiEurope territory in commercial river cruising. Unique itineraries and the best way to explore those wine and historical regions from the river.
