This 8-day family adventure loops from Phuket through the jungles, lakes and villages of southern Thailand to the beaches of Krabi, designed for families with children aged five and over. A local leader looks after the group, which numbers no more than sixteen, and you travel by private minivan, longtail boat and bicycle. You stay seven nights in hotels and resorts, with one night in a community homestay, and family rooms are arranged where available. Breakfast is included daily, along with three lunches and a home-cooked dinner.
From Phuket you travel to Khao Sok National Park, stopping at the Royal Thai Navy Sea Turtle Conservation Center in Phang Nga to learn how eggs are rescued from local beaches. Your jungle resort sits among limestone cliffs, with a pool the children will love and the chance of an evening safari. The next day a longtail boat crosses Cheow Lan Lake among karst peaks rising almost 1,000 metres, and you trek to an island cave full of stalactites and bats before lunch at a raft house and time to swim and kayak.

In the Phrom Lok district you spend a night with a local community, cycling to a waterfall for a swim, sharing home-cooked southern Thai meals and trying your hand at batik painting. The next morning you cycle to a mushroom farm and a rubber plantation before heading to Ao Nang in Krabi, with the chance to take a longtail boat to Railay Beach.
A free day in Krabi lets you relax on the beach or take a boat trip to Phi Phi, Hong Island or the Four Islands for swimming and snorkelling. Back in Phuket, your leader takes you on a walk through the colourful Old Town, built on the wealth of tin mining, before a last dinner together.
