This 8-day guided walking holiday follows the southern half of the Corfu Trail, a long-distance path that winds through olive groves, hill villages and wild coastline far from the island's busy resorts. Groups have between 4 and 16 walkers aged 16 and over, with a leader throughout. You stay seven nights in simple, characterful places along the route, from a resort-style hotel with a pool at Asprokavos and beachside studios attached to a family taverna in Santa Barbara to straightforward apartments and a hotel overlooking the sea. Seven breakfasts and a dinner are included, leaving the rest of your meals to enjoy in local tavernas.
The trip begins in Corfu Town, one of Greece's most elegant island capitals, shaped by Venetian, French and British rule. The next morning you drive to the far south of the island and start walking near Asprokavos, following the coast to Arkoudilas Beach and the hamlet of Spartera, with views across to the mainland.

A longer day of about 23km takes you through the farming town of Lefkimmi and its canal to Santa Barbara, where your studios sit beside a family taverna by the beach. A mostly level walk follows the curve of the sand dunes to Lake Korission, a lagoon rich in birdlife, and on to Paramonas. From there, a sharp climb over the coastal ridge through olive groves and the village of Komianata brings you to Benitses, your base for two nights.
A bus takes you back to Stavros to continue on a footpath skirting the hills to the summit of Agii Deka, one of the island's highest points, and on to Pelekas. Your final walk passes the secluded beach of Myrtiotissa on the way to Liapades, a village above one of Corfu's prettiest bays, where the trip ends. Luggage is moved between hotels for you each day.
The physical rating is high, with walks of up to 23km and some steep climbs in warm weather. This holiday suits keen walkers who want to discover the quieter side of Corfu at their own pace. Departures run in spring and autumn, when the weather is cooler and the wild flowers are at their best.
