South Africa Safari & Mauritius Beach with Flights – 15 Days
A week of all-inclusive safari at a five-star Waterberg lodge, then five nights on the Mauritius coast, with UK flights included.
Tour overview
This 15-day holiday pairs a week of safari in South Africa's Waterberg with five days on the beach in Mauritius, all-inclusive throughout and with flights from the UK. The price covers flights to Johannesburg, on to Mauritius and home again, with one 23kg suitcase each, plus transfers. You spend seven nights at the five-star Rhino East Lodge, set in the bush with an outdoor swimming pool, and five nights at the four-star Tamassa Bel Ombre, an ocean-facing resort on the south-west coast of Mauritius. Two further nights are spent on overnight flights.
After landing in Johannesburg you are met by a local tour director and driven to the lodge in the Sebatana Private Reserve. Game drives in open-air vehicles begin with a wildlife talk on the animals, birds and plants of the area. A highlight is a Big Five game drive in Welgevonden Game Reserve, one of South Africa's finest private reserves, set within the UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere Reserve and home to lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos and elephants. Your guides share their knowledge of the bush, from tracking signs to the habits of the animals you meet.

Through the week you join a gentle guided bush walk, more game drives in Sebatana, a lavish bush brunch at Kudu Rock and a final drive to Sunset Rock with a traditional sundowner. Optional extras include a tribal evening, a night drive with dinner in the bush and an extra morning drive in Kaingo Game Reserve, or simply relax by the pool.
A flight then takes you to Mauritius and the village of Bel Ombre. Days are free to enjoy the resort, with windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and snorkelling, or to join optional trips around the island. One full-day excursion is included, exploring the south of the island: the Takamaka lychee winery, the sacred crater lake of Ganga Talao and more of the island's natural sights.
The physical rating is low. This holiday suits couples and travellers who want an easy, all-inclusive combination of safari and beach, with flights and transfers taken care of. Because both the lodge and the resort are all-inclusive, there are few extra costs once you arrive, and the generous free time means you can choose how busy each day is.
