Trip overview

Bangkok and Phuket is the simplest way to see two sides of Thailand in one trip. Spend three nights in the capital, among gilded temples, river boats, rooftop bars and some of the best street food in Asia. Then take the short domestic flight south to Phuket for a week of Andaman Sea beaches, long breakfasts and warm evenings. It's a classic first trip to Thailand.

The city stop comes first, while you still have the energy for the Grand Palace, the river and the markets. Phuket then gives you a full week to unwind, with day trips to the limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay or Phuket Old Town if you want them. We can change the hotels, the beach area and the number of nights to suit you.

The guide price is based on five-star hotels in both stops, bed and breakfast, with flights and transfers included.

Good to know

How do you get from Bangkok to Phuket?

By domestic flight. It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes, and there are many flights a day from both of Bangkok's airports.

Is three nights in Bangkok enough?

Three nights gives you two full days, which is enough for the main temples, a river trip and a market. Add a fourth night if you want a day trip to Ayutthaya or the floating markets.

Can I fly straight to Phuket and finish in Bangkok?

Yes. Some travellers prefer to start on the beach and end in the city. We can also route you via the Gulf with a single connection into Phuket.

Do I need a visa for Thailand?

Most UK passport holders don't need a visa for a holiday of this length, but you must complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card before you fly. Check the latest rules before travel.
