Cross-Country Skiing in Skåbu, Norway – 8 Days
Six days of guided cross-country skiing from a boutique farm hotel, with skis included.
Tour overview
This 8-day winter holiday is based at a small boutique hotel in Skåbu, Norway's highest permanently inhabited village, in a group of no more than fourteen with expert guides. You stay seven nights and nearly every meal is included, with gourmet dinners made from the hotel farm's own produce.
Each day the guides plan routes to suit the group and the snow, gliding through frosted forests and across open fells with views to the mountains. Beginners get instruction, and more experienced skiers can push further.

Evenings bring hearty food, a dark-sky night under the stars and stories of Skadi, the Norse goddess of skiing who is said to give the village its name. Skis, boots and poles are provided, and transfers by train and minibus are included.
The physical rating is medium. This holiday suits active travellers who want a snowy escape, whether new to cross-country skiing or not.
