This stretch of coastline is one of the Algarve’s most photogenic, with caves, sea arches and hidden coves easily explored by boat from Carvoeiro or nearby Benagil. Golfers have several courses within a short drive, and day trips to the historic town of Silves make a relaxed change of pace.

Carvoeiro is one of the Algarve’s prettiest coastal villages, with a compact centre, atmospheric square and sheltered sandy bay backed by golden cliffs. It’s a great choice if you’d like dramatic scenery, boat trips and walking paths, but still want restaurants, bars and cafés within easy reach.
