Brazil, Argentina & Patagonia with Flights: Rio to Santiago – 19 Days
Rio, Iguazú, Buenos Aires, the glaciers of El Calafate, Torres del Paine and Santiago, with UK and internal flights included.
Tour overview
This 19-day escorted tour links three countries and some of South America's greatest natural wonders, from the beaches of Rio to the glaciers of Patagonia, with international and internal flights from the UK included. A tour director travels with the group throughout, with local guides on the included tours, and coach transfers connect each stop. You stay 16 nights in comfortable hotels, including a resort hotel at Iguazú and a four-star hotel in Puerto Natales, with two nights on overnight flights. Sixteen breakfasts, two lunches and four dinners are included.
The journey begins in Rio de Janeiro with three nights and guided tours of the city, the cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain and the statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, with an optional samba show. A flight takes you to Iguazú Falls, where you see the falls from both the Brazilian and Argentine sides, walking out to the thundering water, with an optional helicopter flight. Rio's beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema are only a short ride from the hotel, and the city's views from the mountains are among the finest in the world.

In Buenos Aires a guided tour starts at the Plaza de Mayo and explores the city's grand avenues and neighbourhoods, with a free day and an optional excursion to a ranch in the pampas. A flight south brings you to El Calafate on Lago Argentino and a visit to Los Glaciares National Park, home to the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Crossing the border into Chile, you spend three nights in Puerto Natales, with a full-day drive around Torres del Paine National Park and a cruise in the park, including Laguna Azul, one of the finest viewpoints of the granite towers. A flight to Santiago leads to a city tour, a day trip through the Casablanca wine valley to Viña del Mar and Valparaíso with a wine tasting, and a final free day before the overnight flight home.
The physical rating is low. This tour suits travellers who want to see South America's highlights in comfort, with every flight and transfer taken care of. Single rooms are available for a supplement.

What financial protection do I get?
Every Travelisto booking is 100% financially protected. Your money is held in a ring-fenced Trust account until you return from your trip, and we are members of the Protected Trust Services scheme (PTS 6035). Most tours also include ATOL protection where flights are part of the package.
Are flights included?
Yes, return international flights from the UK and all internal flights to Iguazú, Buenos Aires, El Calafate and Santiago.
How active is the tour?
The physical rating is low, with walking on boardwalks and city streets.
Which countries do we visit?
Brazil, Argentina and Chile. UK visitors do not need visas for tourist stays in any of them.
When is the best time to visit Patagonia?
October to April, the southern spring and summer.
Are there optional excursions?
Yes, including a samba show in Rio, a helicopter flight over Iguazú, a pampas ranch and a Maipo Valley wine tasting.

A tour director travels with the group, with local guides on included tours.
Can you tailor the trip?
Yes — every escorted tour can be modified into a private tailor-made version with your own dates, adjusted pace, upgraded hotels and add-on extensions. Tell us what you'd like changed when you enquire and we'll quote it both ways so you can compare.
What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
If your international flight is part of your booking through us, we re-book at no cost. If you've booked flights separately, the tour's local team holds your transfer slot until you arrive. We strongly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes delay and cancellation cover.
Not quite the right fit? Make it tailor-made.
If this group tour doesn't match your ideal trip, our specialists will turn it into a private tailor-made journey — your own dates, your own pace, upgraded hotels where you want them, and the parts you don't love swapped out. Same destinations, just rebuilt around you.
