Tips for holidays with toddlers
Keep travel short: the Algarve, Majorca, Menorca, the Costa de la Luz and Croatia are around two to three hours away; the Canaries around four to four and a half. Choose the right month: June and September are warm but less intense than July and August. Check the details: ask about cot availability, high chairs and the minimum age for the kids’ club, as many clubs start at age four. Pick the right room: family suites or apartments give you a separate space for naps and early bedtimes. Shade and shallow water: a splash pool with shade and a gently shelving sandy beach make all the difference.
