When to go and getting there
The season on the Black Sea coast runs from May to October. July and August are hot, typically around 28 to 30 °C, and the beaches are at their liveliest. June and September are warm and quieter, perfect for families with younger children and for couples. Flights to Bourgas take around three and a half hours from the UK, and Sunny Beach is about 30 minutes from the airport.
