Map & location
Fira, Santorini, Greece
Orama Hotel & Spa sits just outside the heart of Fira, Santorini’s postcard‑perfect capital. From here you can wander up to the caldera edge in around 10 minutes for those famous cliff‑top panoramas, browse chic boutiques, and linger over long dinners in candlelit tavernas.
You’re also well placed for exploring the island: hop a bus or taxi down to Kamari’s black‑sand beach, or join a boat trip from the nearby port to the volcanic islets in the caldera. At the end of the day, retreat back to the hotel’s tranquil pool decks, away from the crowds on the main cliff path.

Facilities
Pool & outdoors
This is very much a pool‑centric hotel. Three outdoor freshwater pools are scattered between the low‑rise blocks, with generous sunbathing areas furnished with loungers and parasols. Each pool has its own character – from sociable main‑pool vibes near the bar to quieter corners for a more peaceful dip.
Inside the spa area, you’ll find an adults‑only heated indoor pool (typically heated May–October) that’s ideal for shoulder‑season stays or a relaxing break from the Santorini sun. Pool towels are complimentary, so you can travel lighter.
While there’s no beach directly below the hotel – Fira is perched high on the caldera rim – it’s easy to reach Kamari’s black‑sand shore or other coastal spots by local bus, taxi or hire car.
Spa, sports & wellness
Wellness is a strong point at Orama Hotel & Spa. The compact, air‑conditioned gym offers cardio machines, a free‑weights area and space for stretching (minimum age 16yrs; seasonal opening hours typically 08:00–20:00, April–October).
The spa centre provides a menu of massage and beauty treatments (18+, local charges apply), alongside the heated indoor pool and a calm, low‑lit atmosphere that feels worlds away from the buzz of Fira.
Elsewhere, you’ll find a 24‑hour style reception area with concierge‑style assistance and luggage storage, plus the option to hire mobility scooters on request (local charges). Children are catered for in the restaurant with highchairs and a dedicated kids’ menu, making this a good choice for discerning families as well as couples.

More info
Santorini uses the Euro (€) and the local language is Greek, though English is widely spoken in hotels and tourist areas. The time difference from the UK is typically +2 hours, and the average direct flight time is around 4 hours.
Fira itself is hilly, with steps and cobbled lanes, so comfortable footwear is essential. Expect spectacular views over the caldera, boutique shopping, and excellent restaurants – but also some crowds in peak season, especially at sunset.
Hotel details, facilities and opening dates are based on the previous season and may change. Some services and amenities carry an extra charge, payable locally. For entry rules and health guidance see the UK FCDO Greece advice.
