Melia Barcelona Sky towers above the creative, techy neighbourhood of Poblenou, a former industrial zone turned cool hub of co-working spaces, galleries and craft coffee spots.
You’re moments from Diagonal Avenue for easy connections across the city, with a bus stop about 120m away and a metro station roughly 720m from the door. Head east and you’ll hit Mar Bella’s sandy shoreline and beach chiringuitos; go south-west for the iconic Eixample grid, La Sagrada Familia and Passeig de Gràcia’s designer boutiques.
It’s a great compromise if you want beach access without sacrificing skyline views and a quieter, more local-feeling base than the busy Gothic Quarter.

Cool off between city sights at the hotel’s elevated outdoor pool, framed by loungers and parasols and open during the warmer months (typically 01 June–10 September). Pool towels are provided, and service from the pool bar means drinks and snacks are never far away.
When you’re ready for the Mediterranean, it’s roughly a 15–20-minute walk (or a short taxi ride) to Mar Bella beach, one of Barcelona’s more relaxed stretches of sand, known for its laid-back bars and mix of locals and visitors.
