Map & location
Verona City, Verona, Italy
Ark Hotel Verona is located in the Porta Nuova district on the western side of the city, a quieter residential-feel area that still puts you within walking distance of the major sights. Wander about 15–20 minutes to reach Castelvecchio’s fortress walls and the River Adige, or continue on to Piazza Bra for the iconic Roman Arena and pavement cafés that spill out onto the square.
The nearby station and local bus routes make it very easy to explore further afield – think day trips to Lake Garda, Padua or even Venice – while still returning to a calmer neighbourhood away from the late-night buzz of the historic centre.
- Approx. transfer time from airport 20–30 minutes from Verona (VRN), depending on traffic.
Facilities
Pool & outdoors
Ark Hotel Verona does not feature a pool or dedicated beach access – instead, it’s designed as a comfortable, well-connected base for urban exploring. Spend your days wandering Verona’s cobbled streets, riverside paths and piazzas, then return to the hotel for a quiet night’s sleep in a modern room.
Spa, sports & wellness
This is a streamlined city hotel with a focus on simplicity and ease rather than resort-style facilities. There’s no on-site spa, gym or organised entertainment, but you will find:
• Welcoming reception area
• Luggage storage at reception – handy for early arrivals or late departures
For wellness, culture and entertainment, the city itself does the heavy lifting: from opera performances at Verona Arena (in season) to riverside jogs and wine bars tucked into historic buildings.
Activities
Ark Hotel Verona doesn’t run its own activity programme – the city is your playground. From this location you can easily:
• Stroll to Castelvecchio and its bridge for riverside views
• Spend a lazy afternoon people-watching in Piazza Bra
• Climb Lamberti Tower for a rooftop panorama of Verona’s terracotta roofs
• Catch an opera or concert at Verona Arena in season
• Take the train from Porta Nuova for day trips to Lake Garda, Venice or Milan
Guest services
• Reception with multilingual staff
• Luggage storage at reception
• Free Wi‑Fi in reception/public areas
• Lift access to guest floors
City taxes, local payments and service availability are subject to change; please check at reception on arrival for the latest details.
Food & drink
Mornings start with breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant, where you can fuel up before a day of sightseeing. Expect a continental-style spread with Italian touches like fresh pastries and good coffee.
There’s also an indoor bar and a dedicated coffee bar (typically open between 07:00 and 23:00), ideal for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up or a relaxed aperitivo before you head out to dinner in the city. A smart dress code may apply for the restaurant. Menus, opening times, reservation policies and any supplements can change seasonally, and may vary depending on your board arrangement.
