Facilities
Pool & outdoors
The heart of the hotel is its expansive pool terrace, framed by palms and pines. There are two outdoor freshwater pools, including a dedicated children’s pool, with plenty of sunbeds, hammocks and a handful of Balinese beds for more decadent lazing (those are payable locally). Towels are available with a refundable deposit, so you can travel lighter.
Little ones get their own shallow splash area while adults can drift between the main pool and the pool bar without ever losing sight of the family.
Beyond the hotel, you’re just 350m from the nearest stretch of Costa de la Luz sand – a broad, dune-backed beach that runs for kilometres. Blue Flag bays like Playa Punta del Caimán and Playa de la Gaviotas are close by, while Playa Central and Playa del Hoyo are favourites for classic family days in the sun.
Spa, sports & wellness
Active guests can work out in the air-conditioned gym (minimum age 16 years) equipped with cardio machines and a free-weights area – ideal for balancing out those long, late Spanish dinners.
For downtime, there’s a cosy games room with table football and arcade machines (local charges apply) and even a small cinema space for occasional screenings. Beauty treatments are available on site too, for when only a massage or facial will do.
A seasonal entertainment programme keeps the atmosphere lively: in high summer (July–August), expect daily daytime activities and nightly entertainment including live music, bingo and professional shows. In early autumn (mid-September to early November), activities run less frequently but still cover family games and water-based fun. Most of the organised entertainment is delivered in Spanish, which adds to the local feel.
Practical touches include a 24-hour reception, luggage storage and equipment hire such as kettles, pushchairs and wheelchairs (subject to availability and local charge).

Food & drink
Food is refreshingly straightforward here, with a focus on buffet dining and easy poolside options that work brilliantly for families.
The main buffet restaurant lays on breakfast, lunch and dinner with a mix of Spanish and international dishes, live-cooking stations and plenty of choice for younger palates. Highchairs and a microwave are available if you’re travelling with little ones, and the hotel politely asks that beachwear isn’t worn at dinner – think relaxed, smart-casual.
By day, the Pool & Snack Bar keeps the terrace fuelled with drinks and light bites just a few steps from your lounger. Down towards the sands, Mar De Leva Restaurant serves as an adults-only beach bar on the terrace (typically open midday to late afternoon – seasonal), ideal for a quiet drink while the sun edges towards the horizon.
A smart dress code may apply in the evening and opening hours, reservations and any supplements can vary by season and board arrangement – details are confirmed locally on arrival. What All Inclusive typically includes.

More info
Isla Cristina is a classic Costa de la Luz town where Spanish families come to holiday – expect long, dune-backed beaches, a working fishing port and restaurants serving excellent local seafood. The official language is Spanish and the currency is the Euro (€). From the UK, flights into Faro (Portugal) take around 3 hours, followed by an approximately 1 hour 20 minute transfer across the border into Spain.
Meals in this part of Spain are traditionally eaten later than in the UK – breakfast often starts from around 8am and dinner from 8pm onwards – which suits relaxed, sun-drenched days by the pool. Entertainment at the hotel is predominantly in Spanish, adding to the local feel.
*Information is correct at time of writing but can change seasonally; some facilities and activities may operate with reduced hours or additional charges. For entry rules and health guidance see the UK FCDO Spain advice.
