Saga Cruises
Truly all-inclusive cruising for the over-50s — chauffeur from your front door
Britain's adults-only over-50s cruise specialist — two boutique ocean ships and four purpose-built river ships, with the most genuinely all-inclusive fares at sea. The price covers a chauffeur from your home, drinks, all dining, gratuities, Wi-Fi, an excursion in every port, and travel insurance.

Why a Saga Cruises voyage?
Six reasons we recommend this line to the right kind of traveller.
The most genuinely all-inclusive fare
No other UK cruise line bakes more into one price. Drinks (premium spirits included), all dining including speciality restaurants, every gratuity, Wi-Fi, an excursion in every port, travel insurance, and a chauffeur from your home — all in the headline fare.
Chauffeur from your front door
A genuinely unusual inclusion — Saga sends a private chauffeur (or shared MPV) from your home to the port and back, included on every cruise from anywhere in mainland UK. Or fly from a local airport, with chauffeurs both ends.
Adults only — 50+ guests, 40+ companions
The atmosphere is calm, refined and conversation-led. No kids' clubs, no waterparks, no pool-deck DJs. The age policy is enforced — a companion can be 40+, all other guests must be 50+.
Two boutique ocean ships built for Saga
Spirit of Discovery (2019) and Spirit of Adventure (2021) were purpose-built for Saga — every cabin has a balcony, single-sitting dining in five restaurants, wraparound promenade decks. Boutique-scale (around 1,000 guests) with proper ocean-ship feel.
Four purpose-built river ships
Spirit of the Rhine (2021), Danube (2022), Moselle (2025 — the featured ship above) and Douro Serenity on the Portuguese Douro. Same Saga all-inclusive value on Europe's classic rivers.
Love It First Time guarantee
Unique in cruising — if you don't enjoy your first Saga cruise, tell the Hotel General Manager within 72 hours. If they can't resolve it, Saga gets you home at the next port and refunds the full cruise fare.
Might not be for you if…
No cruise line is for everyone. Here's where Saga Cruises might not fit. We'll point you elsewhere if so.
You're under 50
Hard age limit — Saga is for 50+ only (a single companion can be 40+ to 49). The policy is strictly enforced. For mixed-age cruising look at Virgin Voyages (18+) or any of the mainstream family lines.
You want a big-ship resort experience
Saga ships are boutique — around 1,000 guests. No water parks, no go-kart tracks, no Broadway productions. For resort-scale cruising look at Royal Caribbean, MSC or P&O.
You're flying anyway and want pure cruise pricing
Saga's all-inclusive bundles UK chauffeur and insurance into every fare. If you live in central London or already have a car-share to the port, you're paying for transfers you don't need (though a price reduction is available if you skip the insurance).
You want a deep loyalty programme from day one
Britannia Club membership only kicks in after 35 cruise nights — so it takes 2-3 voyages to qualify. Below that, perks are minimal compared to lines with status from the first cruise.

Five restaurants, single-sitting, all included
Single-sitting dining in a choice of five restaurants on the ocean ships — including speciality dining at no extra charge. Premium wines newly included for 2027 onwards.
What you actually do all day
ORCA marine wildlife programme
Saga partners with the ORCA marine wildlife charity — volunteer team leaders, wildlife officers and naturalists on selected sailings, with whale and dolphin spotting from the decks, on-board talks and citizen-science data collection.
Spa with thermal areas
Hydrotherapy pool, infrared sauna and steam room are included on every fare across the ocean ships. Beauty treatments are paid extra. Genuinely substantial wellness facilities for a boutique ship.
Theatre, recitals & guest speakers
Theatre productions, classical recitals, comedy nights and a strong guest-speaker programme — historians, broadcasters, ORCA naturalists and travel writers. The intellectual cruise experience without going to lectures-only academic lines.
Bridge & games rooms
Dedicated bridge rooms (with hosts on longer voyages), games lounges, library, and the traditional dance floor with resident orchestra. The classic at-sea pursuits done properly.
