My Mom, a non-smoker was diagnosed with bronchoaveolar cell carcinoma. She is on Tarceva now and is reacting well with this medicine.....just want to know if there's any survivors out there? Some encouraging words would help very much......Thanks....

Californians who live close to naturally occurring asbestos sources and who are exposed to low levels of the mineral are at increased risk for developing cancerous mesothelioma, a serious cancer of the membrane covering the lung, according to a new study published in the second issue of the October 2005 American Thoracic Society's American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. in april of 2005 my wife was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer,she had smoked but had quit about two yrs prior,she went thru the chemo an radiation.the tumor shrank some.amonth ago she had more cat an pet scans an the tumor started to grow again,the doctor now has here on terceva,not many options left for this woman who is full of life an wants to live.anybody with some encouraging news i would appreciate it thank you...
